"I really like that there is a jump rope." Irina Gusarova — about the Sky Grace rules

Coach Irina Gusarova, who came to the Academy for the Games of Countries together with student Mariia Borisova, shared her impressions of the tournament.
"It’s a great joy to perform. The main thing is that the children really enjoy the performance, and the podium is, of course, very important and it is very desirable, and you really want it, but if something doesn’t work out, it’s okay. We will improve it, the main thing is that the children love performing and love this sport," Irina said.
The coach spoke about the specifics of working with a jump rope.
"It’s a great competition, and the rules are very interesting, and I really like the jump rope. The jump rope is out again, a very interesting object, many gymnasts love this object. It is a unique, very difficult, very complex object, because a jump rope must be understood, otherwise it will just be like a rope with which you can tie yourself, get tangled up in. But if mastered, it can show very beautiful skill, mastery of the object, and the children’s coordination abilities," she explained.
At the initiative of Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva, exercises with a skipping rope are included in the programs of the international Games of Countries and Sky Grace competitions.
