“Very good atmosphere!” Academy students talk about their impressions after the Shining Star tournament

After the Shining Star tournament in Tashkent wrapped up, Academy students Ksenia Savinova from Gatchina and Karolina Tarasova from Donetsk shared their emotions from the competition.  

“The tournament is very cool! We were received very well, the girls supported us.” 

 "Very good atmosphere, it’s cozy."

At the tournament, the athletes performed according to the international rules. According to them, it was not that complicated to change over from the Sky Grace rules. 

“The FIG program is a little easier because there are fewer elements, so it was easy to transition.”

The gymnasts thanked the Academy coaches and Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva. 

“We want to thank all the coaches, Alina Kabaeva, for coming to these cool competitions. She was born here, this is her hometown. And you need to perform very well and competently in her homeland, so as not to let her down!”

 Following the results of the international Shining Star tournament, Ksenia Savinova became a silver medalist in the individual all-around, and also won gold in the exercise with a hoop and silver in exercises with a ball, clubs and ribbon. Karolina Tarasova won a bronze medal in the ribbon exercise.
