"Very happy with my performance!" Diana Solosina about the international tournament Ojaq Cup in Baku

The International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association gymnast Diana Solosina from Rostov-on-Don shared her emotions after performing at the international tournament Ojaq Cup.

"I am very pleased with my performance. I worked very hard. We had training in leotards. Anna Pavlovna and I worked very hard, and this is the result," Diana said.

She told what the coaches paid attention to during the preparation.

"We analyzed mistakes during the control training session. In the hoop, they told me to be very attentive, to leave my hand on the point, to have my foot in the second risk, to step in the sixth position, to leave my foot towards the ceiling so that the hoop flies straight, and to catch it with both hands, so that my hands are strong. I was nervous the first time I went to the hoop, but the second time it was calmer," she explained.

The gymnast noted that everyone in the Sky Grace team supports each other.

"Olya did my makeup today, I don't know how to do makeup, and Olya did my makeup, braided my hair too. We support each other so that we can calm down. When I see the girls in the stands, I immediately have a lot of energy, and I'm ready to perform," Diana said.

Diana also shared who she looks up to.

"For me, of course, the Sky Grace girls are an example.  And, of course, Alina Kabaeva, because she was a brilliant gymnast, and I look up to her very much," she said.

Diana Solosina from Rostov-on-Don won a gold medal in the hoop exercise at the Ojaq Cup international tournament in Baku, and also came in second in the all-around and in the ball exercise among gymnasts born in 2014.
