At the Russian Championships, Anastasia Vlasenko talked about the hoop program: her favorite movie is "Dune", and it was based on it that the hoop gymnast's exercise was composed, with which she won silver in the final. The athlete assesed her performance:

"I'm quite happy with my performance with the hoop, because we practiced this exercise for a long time. I've been doing it for the second season now, and finally it turned out to show what we wanted to show all this time, but it didn't work out. It worked out today, and I'm very happy about it. I really like the Dune program. First of all, because it's my favorite movie. I really like to review it before competitions or on vacation. I really like the style of exercise, it's so belligerent, it's kind of like me. The very image and the music — everything coincided."
