Natalya Tishina and her students Veronika Barskaya and Farida Faradzheva came to the Academy for training
Russia’s Honored Coach Natalya Tishina came to the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy with her students Veronika Barskaya and Farida Faradzheva from Nizhny Novgorod.
She talked about working on programs and training in Sirius.
"We had clubs and a ball, and now we will have ribbons and a hoop. Ribbons are the most tricky type. It's long, the stick is light, and there are a lot of throws. There are a lot of subtleties in throws, so you need to work with it a lot. The program is changing, the rules and requirements are changing. It is very difficult now in terms of risks, so we will have to learn. In terms of elements, there will be fewer of them now, but we will have to choose the most expensive ones," she said.
She also noted that the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association competitions helped the athletes prepare for the season.
"We were lucky with Sky Grace. When we came to the previous competitions, they had already gotten us ready for the new FIG rules somewhere. We did fewer elements, more artistry, more skills, and it was much easier for us to switch from FIG rules than from Russian rules. Working here is sheer pleasure," she said.
Earlier, in November, Veronika Barskaya and Farida Faradzheva took part in a tournament for the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association partners, which was held in Sirius. Following the competition, they won silver as part of the Nizhny Novgorod team.
