"The mood is good." Olga Chernykh — about preparations for the tournament in Yekaterinburg

Academy student Olga Chernykh from Novosibirsk told us about the progress in preparations for the international tournament in Yekaterinburg.

"I am getting ready for international competitions according to FIG rules. The mood is good. I am working with Irina Yurievna on the ribbon. She told me to draw the image and on the first jump, tighten the arm so that it doesn't hang."

Apart  from the ribbon, the athlete is also polishing the hoop exercise after the performance during the assessment training session having been less than stellar. The gymnast explained how improvements are being made before the competition.  

"I’m working now through the risk that I lost. I’ll need to fix it. I have already worked through it, more or less."

The international tournament within the framework of the Russian Cup will take place in Yekaterinburg from December 1 to 7. Further to Olga Chernykh, Anna Vakulenko from Volgograd, Elvira Belyaeva from Gatchina, and Valeria Medvedeva from Novosibirsk will represent the Academy there.
