The Spanish team won gold in the all-around, three-hoop, three-pair-club, and five-ball finals at the European Championship in Varna.

The father of one of the Spanish group couples, Fran Berua, told what emotions this start gave them:

"We're very happy, we’re European champions again! It's great, two in a row! And we're delighted to see Belarus and Russia return; they have great potential. We're very happy and satisfied. It's simply magical. We're very happy and proud of them as fathers and as a team!"

He also shared what the return of Russia and Belarus to the international arena means for them:

"Russia certainly has great potential. As a father, I don't understand rhythmic gymnastics very well, and I shouldn't, but Russia certainly has great potential, including in this sport, where Spain is showing great results. We're very happy and, of course, we really appreciate the effort and work that Russia has put in once again."
