"We are very happy that we managed to come here!" Coach of gymnasts from China Liu Zixin talks about the training camp in the Academy

The next training session of gymnasts from China took place in the Academy — under guidance of our coach Evgenia Eliseeva this time. Her trainee Ksenia Savinova from Gatchina also took part in the workout.

The coach of Chinese athletes Liu Zixin shared emotions after the training session.

"We have practiced with high level gymnasts today. This is not exactly as our training sessions took place earlier. They learned many things: working with knees, feet, and posture. Our athletes have much to learn. We are very happy that we managed to come here in order to practice together. We will return and will take part in national competitions and in contests of the Gold Star clubs in the Province of Liaoning."

Academy coach Evgenia Eliseeva also told us how the workout had been held.

"We completed a jump training with ropes with them and performed manipulations for movement coordination, for endurance. Our warm-up is rather tough but the girls coped excellently with it. They had very good physical training. Ksyusha demonstrated leaps and good leap connections. It was rather challenging for me to conduct training sessions but I made conclusions for me that the next step, since we often travel to China and work with the Chinese guests, is to definitely learn their language, so that the conduct of exercises was simpler."

Furthermore, Ksenia also shared impressions from the joint workout.

"I liked it very much because the girls are very industrious and cutie. I show to them — they understand immediately. Certainly, there are some difficulties because languages are different. They are very hardy and when there were challenging tasks of general physical training during the warm-up, they tried very hard and did not shed tears."

Young gymnasts came to the training camp in the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy in mid-March.
