"We are not alone!" Coach from the Belgorod region Daria Evdokimova talks about her arrival at Sirius

Daria Evdokimova, a teacher at the regional center for identifying and supporting gifted children in the Belgorod region, spoke about her visit to Sirius.

“We came here on the initiative of our Minister of Sports of the Belgorod Region. Unfortunately, the situation in our region is such that it is not safe to study or train at the moment. Therefore, support measures like this were taken from all sides,” Daria said. 

The coach noted that over 200 children from Belgorod came to Sirius.

“There are different children. We want to maintain our physical condition and not lose it. There are kids who are on the regional team. There are ordinary children. That is, we took and tried to send all the children who were in the region at the time of departure,” she explained. 

Daria Evdokimova also assessed the conditions at the Martial Arts Academy at Sirius.

“From the very beginning, and as long as we have been here, the relationship has been wonderful. They constantly worry about us and are anxious about us. Starting from living conditions and ending with just ordinary leisure activities, what children do. Everyone is trying to provide it all. They are always interested, asking: “What? What would you like? How would you like it? Is everything alright? Is everything okay?” So, thank you very much for this approach. It's very nice and very supportive anyway. It somehow invigorates us from the inside that we are not alone and that people are with us and that they want to support us,” she said. 

The coach also spoke about the cultural program for gymnasts in Sirius.

“They took us on tours of the university in Sirius and told the children about it. For the future, they gave us, well, advice, invited us and told us that they could study here, get training and get a pretty good profession. We went to Sochi Park. Of course, thanks to everyone involved in our being here. Thanks a lot! Thank you for your warmth and your attitude towards us and our children here at Sirius,” Daria said.
