After the BRICS Games came to an end, gymnast of the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association team Mariia Borisova summed up the results of the competition.
“I am very glad and happy that everything turned out well for me. I performed, one might say, to my fullest,” she said.
She talked about the new approach to the training process and the results of training with Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva.
“I began to train a little differently, with different thoughts, with my head, so to speak, to fully delve into the exercise, into the object, to control it. Alina Kabaeva helps me a lot with this, she trains me and helps me, gives me advice. I enjoy working with her, it’s comfortable to train, we somehow work out together. She suggests some moments from her career that she was comfortable with, like here, like here, and this helps me. And I really really enjoy training with her,” she said.
The gymnast also talked about the kind of atmosphere she experienced as part of the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association team.
“We support each other and talk all the time. We are a real team,” Mariia said.
In Kazan at the BRICS Games, Mariia Borisova became the winner in the hoop exercise and the silver medalist in the all-around and team competition.
