Irina Annenkova, champion of the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, shared her Sky Grace Academy impressions.
“I’ve been waiting for it to open for a very long time, because I am from Sochi and on occasion, I train in my hometown. All of us waited and dreamed of finally getting here. It’s insanely beautiful, just what we expected,” the gymnast said.
She also spoke about the emotions from the Alina festival -2023, where she performed with the number "The Ninth Wave". “My native Sochi school is with me in the room, so I know everyone and it’s very comfortable. Although the children are small, they are relatives, familiar children, I know everyone by name. This is a very beautiful event, it is very pleasant to perform at it, ”said the athlete.
Annenkova also spoke at length about the emotions she felt being part of the Alina-2023 festival, where she performed in The Ninth Wave.
“My native Sochi school was with me in the performance, so I knew everyone and it was very comfortable. And even though the kids are small, these are all familiar, dear to me kids, who I know by name. This is a very beautiful event, it is very nice to be a part of it,” the gymnast said.
The gymnast noted that grown up athletes are happy to participate in the festival. “Children are probably worried. I think that the adults perform here for the sheer pleasure and joy of it.” In addition to taking home the gold medal from the Youth Olympics-2014, Annenkova has three gold medals from the European Championship among juniors.
