"My children prefer to perform according to the Sky Grace rules!" Coach Evgenia Povoroznyuk talks about the tournament in Sirius
Evgenia Povoroznyuk, a coach at the athletic school of rhythmic and aesthetic gymnastics in Yekaterinburg, shared how the rules of our tournaments help to reveal the gymnasts’ potential.
"My children prefer to perform according to the Sky Grace rules. Although they are more complicated, it is more interesting for the girls. This is growth, gymnast’s personal growth and this is how it is revealed, that they go a little beyond the limits, want to present themselves more, try more elements," she said.
She explained why the activities of the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association are so important.
"It seems to me that these rules are increasingly getting people in the world of rhythmic gymnastics interested. Not only our Russian gymnasts are getting involved, but those from other countries are increasingly getting involved. It is very nice that they emphasize the individuality of the gymnast, that is, these are unique elements. And the opportunity to perform combined elements in group exercises. All this is interesting," she said.
In addition, Evgeniya noted that her students will also take part in a showcare performance competition, the best of which will be selected for the Alina-2025 festival.
"We have a huge desire to get to the Alina festival, since we have been participating in it for several years. Of course, for children it is just a goal to get there. And the fact that we can also show our performance is also very inspiring," she said.
