"I really enjoyed the competition!" Academy gymnast Alexandra Borisova talks about the St.Petersburg Championship

After the end of the St.Petersburg Championship, the Academy gymnast Alexandra Borisova from Moscow shared her emotions and talked about advice from Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva.

"We need to refine the elements, risks, and skills so that they work every time. Alina Maratovna asked: "Do you spin the planchet?" I was like, "Well, no." She was like, "Let's try, we need to teach you how to spin it. We agreed that we would redo the transitions so that the exercise would be more cohesive. And so that everything would be clear, element by element, and so that it would be beautiful, with emotions, and so that everything would work out," Alexandra said.

She noted the warm support from the stands.

"I really liked the competitions too. The girls were cheering, screaming, clapping. It was very nice. The girls came up, took pictures, got autographs, hugged, and said kind words," the gymnast said.

The athlete also shared her impressions of her visit to the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg.

"It was my first time at the Mariinsky Theatre, I really liked it. The ballerinas had very beautiful lines, their arms moved very smoothly. And they all did very good pirouettes," she said.

At the St.Petersburg Championship, which took place from January 29 to February 1, Alexandra Borisova performed out of competition.
