"I really like that the fans support me." Karolina Tarasova on the competitions at the Academy

After the completion of the interregional Sky Grace Cup tournament, Academy gymnast Karolina Tarasova assessed her performances.

"I really like this tournament. I like these rules because you can show your amplitude, everyone shows the elements, and the set can even be the same, and everyone shows themselves in their own way. On the first day, I did very well with the hoop and the ball. On the second day, I threw the clubs too far forward because I threw them wrong.  But then I pulled myself together and finished it well, the coach liked it. And I could have done a lot better with the ribbon, but overall I liked it," Karolina said.

She noted the support of the spectators.

"I am very happy when people come up to me, ask for an autograph, take a photo, hug me, give me gifts. When they say nice words,  I like it very much. I respect all my fans very much, I really like that they support me," the gymnast said.

The gymnast also thanked Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva, all the Academy coaches and staff for the preparation process.

"I want to thank Alina Kabaeva, Evgenia Eliseeva, Ekaterina Belova, Irina Kozyr, my entire family, all my fans, all the Academy employees, everyone who helped me — I love you very much. Thank you very much," she said. 

The interregional Sky Grace Cup tournament was held at the Academy from March 14 through the 17.
