"The mother's emotions are overwhelming!" Olga Borisova talks about her daughter's victory at the Russian Championship

At the Russian Championship, the Academy gymnast Mariia Borisova from St. Petersburg was supported by her mother Olga.
After the end of the competition, she shared her emotions about her daughter's victory.
"I am incredibly happy. I am incredibly happy for Mashenka, for Irina. I am very grateful to Alina Kabaeva for coming to support and prepare Masha. Masha came out confident, luscious, vibrant, so wonderful. She gave so much joy that all the maternal emotions just overwhelmed me. I was in the stands. And I was screaming and clapping so much that I think I didn’t hear anyone. It seemed like I was the only one clapping so loudly. But when I quieted down, I realized that the hall was thundering, roaring," Olga said.
Olga also noted the changes in Masha’s exercises after her move to the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy.
"The programs have become even brighter and luscious. I know that world-class judges have worked with Masha. It is very noticeable. All the movements have become vibrant, more playful. After her victory, I went down to congratulate her with all my soul, with all my heart. Of course, she was very happy, we hugged for a very long time, said warm words to each other, that we were so great, that we finally won," she said.
At the Russian Championships, Mariia Borisova won gold in the all-around and in the ball and clubs exercises, and also came in third in the exercise without apparatus.
