Mariia Borisova shares her impressions of the Cup of the Strongest Athletes of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus

At the international Cup of the Strongest Athletes of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus tournament Mariia Borisova from St. Petersburg won a silver medal in the hoop exercise and a bronze medal in the all-around.

The gymnast assessed her performances at the competition and revealed the details of her training:

"These competitions were a good experience overall in terms of gaining experience and understanding what kind of training suits me and what kind might not. During our training camp in Novogorsk, we introduced many innovations to dance steps, skills, and even to risks a little bit. This will be very useful overall in the future so that everything is counted and everything is assessed."

Masha also told what useful advice gymnast Alina Gornosko gave her during the competition:

"Alina gave me some advice before the parade, probably from her own experience, from her life, on how to stay healthy and how to get as few injuries as possible during such a long sporting career. She gave me advice. I am very grateful to her for that."

The gymnast also thanked Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva and the specialists who helped in the preparation:

"I would like to thank all the judges and coaches who worked with me in Novogorsk and gave me tips during training sessions on how to correct and improve my program. I want to thank the judges that judged at the competition proper this time. And Alina Maratovna, of course. I thank her for coming and staying in touch all the time. I thank Tatyana Sergaeva, who was also there throughout the entire journey from the training camp and at the competition. And I would like to thank the gymnasts and coaches, the entire Belarusian Rhythmic Gymnastics Association, for coming. I was very happy to meet the girls."
