"Combination of contemporary dance, modern and ethnic dance". Irina Zenovka talks about the Academy group gymnasts' new exercise

Irina Zenovka, the Alina festival choreographer, came to the Academy to work with group gymnasts on a new exercise with five balls.

The specialist told about the details of working with gymnasts:

"We decided to do it in advance, since the events will be very difficult next year. This exercise with five ribbons is very difficult, especially for juniors, and the exercise with five balls, it seems that the ball is not as difficult an object as the ribbon. But it is also very tricky. It can roll away. And the technique with it should also be interesting. We understand each other. That’s how I feel. And right now, there’s some very interesting work going on: the older girls are helping the younger ones. And this kind of collaboration is also very interesting." 

She also revealed the images of the program: 

"We start with an idea, of course, with an idea, of creating an image. Our image, this time, in the ball exercise will be very interesting. This collaboration of modern dance, and modern, and national dance. All this together, we hope, will be combined. And it will turn out very original and interesting."
