Katty Araujo arrived at the event in St. Petersburg along with Jimena Domínguez and Luciana Caraballo. The specialist explained why participation in the Alina Kabaeva Grand Prix Champions Cup international tournament is valuable for gymnasts and coaches from other countries:

"First of all, we are here owing to the invitation received from the Russian side. It is an opportunity for us to conduct preparations, continue training and increase our level on the verge of the next competitions. The Panamerican Games is one of the nearest such tournaments. For us, to be here is the opportunity to get new knowledge, to progress day after day. We are very happy to participate in this tournament together with the gymnasts of the highest international level from Russia and Belarus. It is incredible. I am so grateful for this opportunity. We will try to take advantage of the chance presented to us."

The specialist also noted the strengths of gymnasts from Venezuela:

"In the first instance, I would like to underscore stubbornness of gymnasts from Venezuela, their passion, with which they are dedicated to this sport, rhythmic gymnastics. We endeavor to maximize the use of physique of our gymnasts and work proficiently every day."
