"Every time I discover something new in them." Choreographer Alevtina Glamazdo talks about the Academy's gymnasts

Choreographer Alevtina Glamazdo praised the progress of Academy gymnasts Veronika Solomatina, Veronika Malinina, Diana Sobyanina, Lia Rodionova and Karolina Pakhtusova after moving to Sirius at the Scarlet Sails competition in St. Petersburg. 

"The girls have grown up a lot. I remember them as little children, when they were just taking their, so to speak, first steps in gymnastics. Nevertheless, I watch their progress every time I come to the Academy. I am very happy when I see these children. And every time I discover something new in them. The children change every day. Their physical abilities have developed greatly. They have become much more at ease on the floor. They have practically stopped being afraid — they do everything very boldly and always expressively. They are very clean in their execution, with amplitude, it is interesting to watch them."

The specialist underscored the contribution of coaches and Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva to the progress of gymnasts. 

"The success they have shown to date is the result of their work at the Academy and the attention they receive from Alina Kabaeva and the Academy coaching staff."

The Scarlet Sails competition is taking place in Saint Petersburg from May 14 to May 17.
