"Every time we come here, it’s a holiday!" Alina Gusarova talks about training at the Academy

Alina Gusarova, a coach from the Zhemchuzhina Central Gymnastics Center in St. Petersburg, came to the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy for the training session at the Trade Unions physical culture and sports society together with her students.

She spoke about the benefits of athletes working with different specialists.

"Every time we come here it’s a holiday for them, because the hall is amazing, the conditions for training are wonderful. It is always a very interesting experience, because the children need to receive information from various coaches. The children can perceive the same information from a different person in a whole different way. I, for example, tell my gymnasts one thing, they hear it from a different person, and the result comes faster," the coach said.

She also shared her opinion about the Sky Grace rules.

"The rules are very interesting, they probably relate more to the rules when Alina Maratovna performed, there is more flexibility, more elements than are now in the Russian rules," Alina said.

Young gymnast Veronika Malinina recalled her experience of participating in the Games of Countries competition which were held at the Academy according to the rules of the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association.

"It’s my fourth time here. There is a very large hall here, very good flooring, it is very comfortable here.  I really liked it, the rules are very interesting. It’s very beautiful here, I enjoyed performing here. I got first in clubs, second in all-around, third in hoop," Veronika said.
