"Every competition is like a celebration." Karolina Pakhtusova talks about the results of the Gracia Fair Cup tournament

After the international Gracia Fair Cup tournament, Karolina Pakhtusova told why it was valuable for her to compete in competitions, and thanked everyone who helped her prepare:

"You have to be better every time you compete. My hoop routine was much better this time. I tried to correct the mistakes I made before. Every competition is like a celebration. You have to enjoy it. A huge thank you to my coaches, choreographers, Alina Maratovna and all the Academy staff."

She told how she saved the risk in the clubs exercise and what advice Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva gave her:

"I throw, realizing it’s behind me. I start, naturally, doing somersaults without making any progress. I realize it’s still behind me, and I start trying to get closer. I was focused. As Alina Maratovna says, 'You have to throw and watch, and keep your eye on the club until the end'."

Karolina Pakhtusova won bronze in the all-around at the Gracia Fair Cup in the junior women's program. Her coaches are Alina and Irina Gusarova, and her choreographer is Ekaterina Belova. Our athletes competed under neutral status.
