How do choreography classes for preschoolers take place at the Academy? Ekaterina Belova tells all about it

Ekaterina Belova, a former artist of the Igor Moiseyev State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble and Academy choreographer, teaches choreography classes for preschoolers in the additional education program.
She explained how the choreography helps the girls acquire the right technique at a young age.
"Everything is important — the positioning of the body, the turn of the legs. This will help avoid knee and ankle injuries in the future. It is imperative to fight for the children’s health. I always convey this to them, I say it at every lesson. And as for the beauty of movements, turning the head, hands, accompanying any movement of the hand — in the end this will help them in the exercises. There will be more fluid movements, more air and emotions, respectively," Ekaterina said.
Ekaterina also said that after classes she gives the kids homework to strengthen their toes.
"Children came to a group, where others have been studying for some time already. But flexing your toes is the hardest part about reaching the instep. The girls do a good job. They are trying hard," the teacher said.
The additional education groups for preschoolers opened up at the Academy in September.
