How do competitions of the Sky Grace International Association help gymnasts to develop individuality? Natalya Lashchinskaya explains

Natalya Lashchinskaya, the Honored Coach of Russia and the judge of the Sky Grace Cup interregional qualification tournament in St. Petersburg, told us how competitions of the International Association help gymnasts to develop individuality.

"Each gymnast must show her individuality. One gymnast has great jumps, another gymnast has flexibility, and a third gymnast does perfect turns. And Alina took all this into account in her rules, so she gave the opportunity to develop the individuality of each gymnast. She's great."

She explained why it is important to stage more tournaments for athletes.

"It’s very good that there are a lot of competitions, because not training for anything means not seeing the fruits of your labor. Every person wants, and especially the coach, especially the gymnast, the choreographer who works with these gymnasts, they want to see their work. And we can see our work only in the embodiment of our girls."

The professional also noted what was remarkable in respect of participants in the qualification tournament in St. Petersburg.

"I liked the twists, the new elements. Then Alina introduced into the rules that we give more points for the original element, we have an addition. Some girls tried it."

The Sky Grace Cup interregional qualification competition in St. Petersburg was held on March 30–31.
