"Good experience for us!" Group team members from Belarus talk about the Sky Grace Cup at the Academy

At the Sky Grace Cup, the gymnasts from the Belarusian team of the Republican Olympic Training Center under the Masters of Sports program — Polina Alexandrova, Karina Ermolenko, Lolita Matskevich, Dana Chaevskaya and Arina Tsitsilina, shared their impressions of the Academy tournament.

“We are very happy to be here, we like everything. It is very comfortable and the conditions are miraculous. The fans are simply excellent, there is a strong feeling of support. It is very nice to be received this way although you are in a different country, and we also did not perform for a long time. Many thanks for being supported. It is a good experience for us, we are happy to be here,” they said.

The athletes also spoke about what was special in their exercises.

“Some coaches came, showed certain moves from our hoop exercise, and we discussed directly ourselves that our coach is composing new exercises every year. And every exercise in its way. All of them are absolutely different, all are the top-class. And we ourselves are enjoying the exercise. It is really nice that the audience remembers it. In other words, this is not simply seen as a complex exercise, it's beautiful too. But there are also instances in choreography that are used by everyone and are used in dances. Everyone wants to repeat them and it seems to me that choreography is the most important in staging. Certainly, complexity, cleanness of the exercise is always on top but it is also important to have the exercise stand out,” they said.

The Republican Olympic Training Center team won bronze in the exercise with three ribbons and two balls in the finals of individual events under the Masters of Sports program.
