Choreographer Natalia Belugina tells what the focus is when choreographing programs according to FIG rules

Choreographer Natalia Belugina choreographed a new program with clubs for the Academy student Elizaveta Geraskina from Moscow. Coach Elizaveta Chernova helped her with this.

Natalia shared the details of creating the exercise and the image of the gymnast:

"She has lovely exercises. She is simply such pretty, lovely girls. These rules need artistry nevertheless, something else is required. So, and we turned her into a shaman lady, with various spirits settling in. And it matcher her. She indeed like that."

The specialist also told what the focus is when choreographing programs according to FIG rules:

"We are working on everything. Emotion is indeed important, effects are important at the international stage, but everything should be done very accurately there. That is, so that everything is visible. Every element, every bend, when bending somewhere, to the horizontal, if something is not right, then they say good-bye. We are working hard, yes, do everything at 720 degrees, standing in all the poses, not in a rushing tempo, we did the program so that, you know, there is no such chasing. To have it emotionally beautiful, with stops yet clearly, so that they are not fuming when doing elements. They, the girls, indeed have the rage. It cannot be called differently. To make faster, quicker — no. Slightly calmer, we can do everything a bit quicker when starting, when making a certain transition, but not when doing elements."
