Choreographer Irina Zenovka spoke about working with Academy gymnasts at the Christmas training camp

After training in Valdai, the choreographer of the Alina festival Irina Zenovka spoke about the plan for the Christmas training camp.

"I came to compile new exercises, to see what was previously compiled, to correct something according to the new rules, so that the girls have a good program for competitions in the new season already. I am mainly working now on artistry, on dance tracks, on transitions so that everything is musical, each accent corresponds to a certain movement, each emotion. And an image was created, which is now very valuable and necessary according to the new rules," Irina said.

She told us what programs are being worked on during training.

"You spent a lot of time staging the program with Yana Zaikina with the ball. You have already choreographed clubs for her not so long ago. I watched the clubs exercises today too, and Yana does a lot. It unfolds very interestingly, beautifully fluid. I started not only to do gymnastic elements, but these connections and transitions are very interesting. I looked at the programs that I put together for Anya Vakulenko previously.. Two exercises — the hoop and clubs. And we reviewed all four exercises with Karolina. We also worked specifically on accents, dance tracks, and transitions," she said.

She also noted the progress made by the Academy's group gymnasts.

"The team is great. It was recently created. The girls only now began to get a feel for each other, to somehow understand each other, probably, some interactions appeared between them. And it's very interesting for me to work with the new team, I saw a lot of progress in them," she said.

The training camp, which is taking place in Valdai, was organized by the founders of the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy.
