"I want Alina Kabaeva's signature element to remain in gymnastics." Asel Arapova on her performance at the AEON Cup

AEON Cup junior all-around silver medalist, Asel Arapova from Kyrgyzstan, spoke about her new hoop routine and shared her emotions from participating in the tournament:
"Last summer, we created a hoop routine. In it, I'm dressed as a doll from a horror movie. Yes, it's my first time doing that. I really enjoy doing it. It's also thanks to Natalia Belugina. She chose everything perfectly, put everything together perfectly, and everything is comfortable for me; it's not too difficult, but at the same time, it's not easy. The first time I performed. It was more nerve-wracking, but I gathered my thoughts and strength, and I managed to perform well. I did the planche turn well, and the fouetté turn well. I've been practicing doubles for a long time, and finally managed to do them on the floor. Natalya Belugina helps me a lot psychologically, gets me ready before the performance, and that really helps me."
The athlete also explained why she performs Alina Kabaeva's signature turn in her ribbon routine at FIG tournaments:
"We really like this element; it looks very beautiful. And we want it to remain in gymnastics."
Asel prepared for the competition at the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy.
The athlete previously represented the Sky Grace International Association at the A.S.D. V.E.R.A. tournament in Morbegno and at the BRICS Games.
