Junior group gymnasts sum up the results of the international Aura Cup tournament in Croatia.

Team gymnast Alexandra Ponomareva shared her impressions:

"We really enjoyed this tournament. It was our first time abroad, in Croatia with this specific squad. It was a great experience for us, and we learned a lot here."

She spoke about the support of Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva and the coaching staff, as well as the experience they gained at the competition:

"Our coach, Daria Olegovna, told us to perform boldly and confidently, because we have the skills and the ability. Alina Maratovna told us that there are no small details, that we just had to go out there and do the work. Of course, things didn't go perfectly for us at this tournament, but we’re going to work hard. We gained experience at this competition and identified new mistakes that we need to address."

The gymnast thanked everyone who was there, believed in the team and helped on the way to the start:

"We would, of course, like to thank Alina Maratovna for staying in touch with us, even though we were in another country. She supported us and helped us prepare before we went out to perform. That means a great deal to us. We also want to say a huge thank you to Ekaterina Konstantinovna for supporting us through everything and being by our side. We also want to thank our coach and choreographer Daria Olegovna and Veronika Borisovna. We are so grateful that they train us and work on every single step with us, that they put up with us, love us, and believe in us. We want to thank our psychologist for being there with us throughout these days. We were in another country, yet she stayed in touch with us every day, helping, supporting, and offering advice."

The athletes won gold medals in the all-around and individual finals.
