Group exercise gymnasts of the Academy talk about working with Alina Festival choreographer Irina Zenovka

Group exercise gymnasts of the Academy earned the highest score for two exercises at the Sky Grace Cup for the Southern Federal District under the candidate masters of sports program. They were preparing under guidance of Academy coach Anna Ustsova.

Anna Gryaznova, Alina Proshchalykina, Nikole Andronchik, Polina Zakharova and Nelly Reutskaya shared the details of working with Alina Festival choreographer Irina Zenovka after the performance:

"The music for the clubs has been recently changed for us. Irina Zenovka came and revised our exercise for the new music, for the Lezginka. And we have performed today for the first time after a small period of time after staging. There were mistakes but we managed to convey some emotions, managed to convey the move. And we will work for this exercise to be cleaner and more eye-catching."

The gymnasts also told us about a new mascot presented to them by the Academy psychologist:

"Irina Kozyr also presented a toy to us, a mascot, a small octopus, so it appears that the head is the entire our team and it has eight tentacles. And we are exactly these tentacles and that we must be as one. Now we have one more mascot."

Finally, the girls thanked their mentors for the work and Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva for the opportunity to perform at the tournament:

"We are very grateful to our coaches, choreographers, to Anna Ustsova that is constantly working with us. We also appreciate Irina Zenovka for coming very often, changing programs, working with us and preparing our programs for competitions.
