"Gymnasts from all over the world are very excited to take part in this World Cup." Morinari Watanabe, President of World Gymnastics, talks about the start in Tashkent

Morinari Watanabe, President of World Gymnastics, spoke in more detail about the tournament in the capital of Uzbekistan, its importance and development:
"This is the biggest World Cup. It is always, you know, growing. So every gymnast from all over the world is very happy to participate in this Tashkent World Cup. This World Cup is a qualification for the World Championship, and also for the 2028 Olympic Games."
He also shared his impressions of the performance of neutral athletes:
"I saw that. They are very excellent gymnasts. But for four years they didn't participate in international competitions. That is why I saw a little bit of pressure. But step by step. They are talented gymnasts."
The competition was held in Tashkent from April 10 to April 12.
