Gymnasts of the Academy summed up the results of the Sirius Federal Territorial Championship

At the Sirius Federal Territorial Championship, our gymnasts swept the podium in the Master of Sports Candidate program! Ksenia Savinova won gold, Yana Zaikina silver, and Elizaveta Geraskina took bronze. Liya Rodionova also took first place in the 1st category program.

After their performances, the athletes told about their new programs and their impressions of the tournament.

Ksenia Savinova shared how she prepared for the start of the season and who helped her:

"I have three new routines. Natalia Vladimirovna Belugina put them together for me, and we've been practicing them since last year. And recently, we started working on a plan. We started doing run-throughs to perform well at this competition. We didn't get everything right, but we'll keep working on them. This is our first competition this year and this season. So, we were a bit nervous. But coach Evgeniya Mikhailovna and director Ekaterina Konstantinovna were very supportive, and it wasn't that scary."

Yana Zaikina appreciated her performances and noted the support of the Academy team:

"I think I liked the clubs the most because they turned out really fiery and I really like them. I want to say a huge thank you to Evgeniya Mikhailovna, Olga Dmitrievna, Lyudmila Alexandrovna, and Alina Maratovna for coaching us, supporting us, and working with us every day. It energizes us and allows us to perform well."

Elizaveta Geraskina also summed up the performances and shared her future plans:

"I probably enjoyed the clubs and ribbon the most today. I completed the clubs without any major mistakes. The ribbon, too, was also flawless. This was my first appearance with the new ribbon. I tried very hard to show that we worked with Alina Maratovna, Natalya Vladimirovna, Elizaveta Markovna, and Evgeniya Olegovna, for which I am extremely grateful. I am very grateful to them for their help. Next, we'll be preparing for the Russian Championship. Then you'll need to build consistency and show off everything you can do."

Liya Rodionova told us what turned out best and thanked everyone for their support:

"I liked the most how I performed the program with the ball, because I have a new program, and I performed it quite well. I want to say a huge thank you to all the coaches, all the choreographers, Alina Maratovna, everyone who supported me, my family. To everyone who cheered for me and watched, a huge, huge thank you! Without them, it would have been much harder for me, and none of this would have happened."

Liya, Ksenia, Yana, and Elizaveta live, study and train at the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy. Liya trains with Olga Minigalina, and her choreographer is Ekaterina Belova. Ksyusha and Yana's coach is Evgeniya Eliseeva, choreographer is Elena Egorova. Liza's coach is Elizaveta Chernova, choreographer is Elena Egorova.
