Evelina Tandalova shared her memories of the All-Russian Young Gymnasts competition

Evelina Tandalova from Moscow won the silver medal at the All-Russian Young Gymnasts tournament.

The gymnast shared her memories of the competition in Ulyanovsk and what words her coach says help her focus before taking to the floor.

Tell me about the atmosphere at the tournament.

"The atmosphere was really cool. The girls were cheering me on, screaming. It was really nice and lifted my spirits."

Who stood out among the other competitors?

"I liked Veronika Malinina; she's become more artistic. Agniya Kraeva performed well, especially with the hoop. Wow! Vasilisa Botkina also stood out for her entrance, as she always had a different approach. Karina Bogdanova also stood out for her clean and high-quality execution of her elements."

How did your coach motivate you?

"My coach told me to be bold to perform the exercise as if it were the best run-through in training."

The athlete prepared for the competition in Ulyanovsk under the guidance of Irina Koshevaya and Olga Petrova.
