"This is a great opportunity for gymnasts with good abilities!" Coach Anna Litvinova talks about the Sky Grace Cup

Coach from Astrakhan Anna Litvinova came to the all-Russian Sky Grace Cup competition with her students Karina Gogina and Anastasia Bondareva.

She shared her impressions of the organization of the tournament and how the qualifying stage went.

"We were selected from the Southern Federal District, two of my girls were selected, one for masters, the other for candidates. We were selected and came here to perform, show our skills, and try to strive for the best in very luxurious conditions. We are glad that we got here at all, because it is very difficult to select somewhere from the regions. We worked hard and we succeeded! It’s a pleasure to come here every time! Everything is so wonderful, at the highest level, everyone is very attentive, respectful to every person, it’s very nice to have such an attitude towards people. Many thanks to Alina Kabaeva," she said.

The coach also spoke about her first experience of performing according to the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association.

"This is our first experience, we had to rework the program. First I studied the rules, then we worked on the program. It was quite difficult, but it’s all possible. And the girls found it interesting too, it was a good experience, and we also liked these rules. They reveal the potential of a gymnast, show off her data and capabilities. These rules, first, give bonuses for precisely the fact that the girl has good flexibility, that she’s well stretched. It’s in the elements, the cost of the elements, that bonuses are added there, that is, it is in the elements that a girl can show herself what kind of splits she has there, that she has good flexibility, so this is a great opportunity for those gymnasts who have good abilities," Anna said.

All-Russian Sky Grace Cup rhythmic gymnastics competitions are held at the Academy, April 10 to 14.
