"This is just a great opportunity to prove yourself!" Chief Judge Aysel Hasanova talks about the BRICS Games

At the BRICS Games, the chief judge of the competition, representative of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, Aysel Hasanova, shared her impressions of the judging process.

"It is my great honor to be the chief judge right here. Certainly, there are complicated points; this always occurs during judging, but I believe we coped very well. I’d like to extend individual gratitude to all the judges. We tried to ensure for the marks to be as objective as possible, so that everything is fair," Aysel said.

The judge assessed the athletes’ performances at the competitions.

"Very good gymnasts. Very promising ones, which are kept in mind. There are gymnasts that did not stand at the podium or did not reach finals but are strongly remembered for. I think this is very important in rhythmic gymnastics," she said.

She also spoke about her attitude towards the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association team.

"Girls have something to strive for because the national team is the national team. And I consider the Sky Grace is already like a second national team because there are so promising gymnasts that were already on the podium yesterday in the all-around. Juniors and seniors and group exercise gymnasts were on the podium. I think this is simply an excellent opportunity to show oneself. Good luck to all these girls and I think the results will be much better. This is just the beginning," the judge said.

Aysel Hasanova was the chief judge at the rhythmic gymnastics competition at the BRICS Games in Kazan.
