"It helped us a great deal" Cuban coach Nelly Ochoa Borras talks about training at the Academy

Cuban coach Nelly Ochoa Borras sums up the results of her gymnasts after the training at the Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy in Sochi.

Cuban gymnasts Gretel Mendoza and Isabella Rojas participated in the World Cup stage in Tashkent, on April 14-16, where they came directly from the Academy.

“It was nearly the first time that we trained at this level. It helped us a lot in terms of technique,” said Borras. “We had the opportunity to change our programs, to make them better with the help of good professionals. And that’s really great!”

Gymnasts from Cuba have been training in Sochi since February. Universiade-2017 champion Yulia Bravikova coached them during the training camp.

Cuban gymnasts also performed at the Alina -2023 festival on 8 April. They were soloists in the Flowers performance.
