"This is a new form of competition." Coach Marina Protasova talks about Sky Grace International Association rules

The training camp under guidance of top-tier coach Marina Protasova from Belarus has kicked off in the Academy. The professional told us about workouts conducted for gymnasts.

"I was invited by the Academy of the Firsts from Moscow. I am cooperating with them for several years by now, helping them in development of gymnasts. And they invited me to come to your splendid hall, take a look and help them to prepare for a new season. Children born from 2019 to 2010. Someone may be provided with more information, while the other one should be set to the base level and taught to perform exactly the base work. I am actually dealing with their stretching, with their split flattening, because this is exactly the baseline body preparation for the children to be able to make high-rated difficult elements. If we are unable to make proper splits, we will not do anything further."

She also noted that Sky Grace rules, under which her trainee Nikole Leuta had already performed, contribute to creation of a friendly community of athletes from different countries.

"It’s good this is a kind of a new form of competitions, that is, they meet each other, they communicate, they compete. And I know about Nikole; they get along very well, all these children, from Russia and Belarus, and everybody participating in the Sky Grace events."

Sixty gymnasts are practicing under guidance of Marina Protasova in the training camp in the Academy.
