"This is my main victory in gymnastics." Alina Harnasko on the support of the audience at the sports and entertainment show "Time of our victories"

The leader of the Belarusian team and bronze medalist of the Tokyo Olympics Alina Harnasko shared how she prepared for the sports and entertainment show "Time of our victories."

"I’m very happy today that I caught this time, and such a long-awaited project, and an evening dedicated mainly to rhythmic gymnastics, and I take part in it and not even in one performance, but a large portion of performances.  I was worried. But when I went out for the final one, when we were already standing as Polina Gagarina sang her beautiful song, and I was able to see the scale, and that people were happy, they got up from their seats and turned on their flashlights. We managed to do it. I am very, very happy,"  Alina said. 

The athlete shared why she was nervous ahead of the performance.

"I will say honestly that I was very nervous. Because I did not have a single live rehearsal with Polina. She arrived specifically for the concert, so to speak, from the ship to the ball. And the performance lasted two and half minutes — it was quite difficult. But, I think that we managed to convey the story in its entirety, to convey all the emotions of this song. I had a lot of solo performances, I already have a good batch of performances behind me in my career. And I see so many people who support us, and, probably, this is my main big victory in gymnastics, and not just to become famous, but in general to live a very beautiful life in gymnastics," she said.

The sports and entertainment show "Time of Our Victories" took place on December 7 in Minsk. Alina Harnasko began rehearsals immediately after returning from the international Sky Grace Cup tournament, which was held in Qatar.
