"This is truly a home for children!" Larisa Belova talks about visiting the Academy
Russia’s Honored coach Larisa Belova shared her emotions from visiting the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy.
"I am impressed with what I have seen. I am simply so thrilled! Alina Kabaeva, certainly, is so smart, so good. To do this, this is indeed like a home for the children. Such a home where Alina can probably watch everything, watch the girls she invites. Watch them and select them exactly according to their talent, their diligence," Larisa said.
She also spoke about her attitude to the rules of the International Sly Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association,
"Certainly I heard about them, we are keeping an eye on them. We sometimes even think, probably it would also be worth it for us indeed to try to start working exactly under the Sky Grace rules. This unlocks a gymnast in all aspects to a greater extent. That is, allows to see the gymnast in all her glory," the coach explained.
In addition, she assessed the coaching career prospects of her star students.
"Now I am proud of my children’s results. And probably the last ones, known by everyone, are Dina and Arina Averina. My favorites, probably the most gifted. At least with me, my most talented children, most grateful, most industrious and goal-oriented. They trained with me for nine years. They were already in the Russian national team. They said for some time that they would not be coaches. But I see now that they continue doing what they love. This is love for rhythmic gymnastics, it continues with them. That is, exactly in master classes now, in training camps they are invited to in different Russian cities. They even spent plenty of time abroad throughout the year. And I see now that they can be good coaches indeed. Probably they will make their schools, as they are dreaming of them already now. Therefore, I think they will become excellent coaches," she said.
Larisa Belova is the mother of Olympic champion Irina Belova, and also the first coach of multiple world and European champions Dina and Arina Averina.
