“It will be a colorful, vibrant competition!” Marina Shpecht talks about the BRICS Games
Executive Director of the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association Marina Specht spoke about the gymnasts getting ready for the BRICS Games.
Preparations are going according to plan. The control training sessions are conducted where errors are corrected. We try to explain to gymnasts what counts and what doesn’t. We pay attention to the catching risks, so that we do it clearly, choose the correct trajectory when throwing, and clarify the work. The girls have very competent compositions, and they can do everything,” Marina said.
She noted that changing the programs to comply with international rules did not cause problems.
“It’s not difficult to switch to FIG from the Sky Grace rules. We didn't have to radically change the exercises. When we were developing the rules of the Association, Alina Kabaeva asked to take into account that judges and gymnasts should be able to switch from the Association program to the FIG and vice versa without problems,” she said.
The Association Executive Director added that now there is an additional opportunity for gymnasts from different countries to take part in competitions.
“It’s great that Sky Grace can participate in the BRICS Games. Form an international team. Of course, the strongest gymnasts from Russia, Belarus and other countries will be at the Games. It will be a colorful, vibrant competition. We are trying to prepare the girls and wish them good luck. We also wish good luck to all participants of the Games,” she said.
The International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association will present a team at the tournament in Kazan, which includes gymnasts from Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus. The selection took place at the international Sky Grace Grand Prix tournament in Minsk.
