"This will be motivation for them!" Olympic champion Tagir Khaibulaev about a master class for the Christmas training camp participants

As part of the Christmas training camp in Valdai, the 2012 London Olympic champion Tagir Khaibulaev held a master class for young judokas from the Martial Arts Academy.
The famous athlete shared his impressions of the training with the training camp participants.
“I gladly agreed and always support these projects, especially those related to children. This includes popularizing judo. Of course, I started much later than they did, at 11. And that’s why I’m happy about it. I like the fact that people of that age are already interested in judo, interested in training. And that’s why we will support projects like this in the future as well. We played more, tried to involve them more in judo, so to speak. And I hope they will remember this training when they grow up, and it will be motivation for them in something. Not necessarily victories on the tatami, but in life,” Tagir said.
Tagir Khaibulaev also shared the secret of the Olympic champion.
“The secret is very simple, that is, the desire, a great desire to win. And so, I started as the same boy as these guys. Great desire and work ethic,” he said.
The camp was organized by the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy founders.
