It’s a great honor to host competitions like this!” Ekaterina Gvozdetskaya about the Sky Grace Cup in Novosibirsk
Director of the interregional qualifying Far Eastern Federal District and Siberian Federal District tournaments judge Ekaterina Gvozdetskaya spoke about the features of the Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association and also explained what opportunities these competitions give gymnasts.
“This is a very important and exciting competition for children. First, because many of the girls will be performing for the first time under the new rules. For children, this is a step forward, the ability to adapt from one rule to another, testing themselves and, of course, the main motivation for them is the qualification for the All-Russian competition in Sochi. The Sky Grace rules are more aimed at expressing the gymnast from the artistic point of you. The dance tracks cannot contain gymnastic elements, acrobatic elements, in contrast to the rules that now exist in Russia,” Ekaterina said.
She added that it is a great honor to hold such competitions in Novosibirsk.
“It is a great honor for Novosibirsk to host competitions like this. Thank you for your trust in entrusting us with hosting a large-scale event like this. We tried our best, I hope we won’t let you down,” she said.
The interregional Far Eastern Federal District and Siberian Federal District competition was held in Novosibirsk, March 18 to 20. The tournament was held by the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace International Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association, whose President is Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva.
