"Even more inspiration for my new work!" Mariia Borisova on her emotions from the World Championships

After returning to Moscow, Mariia Borisova from St. Petersburg shared her emotions from the World Championships.
"I probably haven't fully grasped how I managed it yet, but I'm slowly starting to get it. Analyzing all my previous competitions helped me go out and perform at my best at the most important event of the season. I gained even more confidence and a sense of accomplishment. I can do 11 out of 12, and I'll strive to do 12 out of 12. And, of course, this inner confidence, this feeling of being able to do it, is what gives me even more inspiration for the new endeavor,” Mariia said.
Masha also shared how she reacted to the judges' scores.
"There were a lot of positive surprises from the scores. It was such a sincere, direct reaction, just as I felt. I showed everything. I was surprised. Well, I mean, I wasn't thinking about the grades, I wasn't thinking about what scores I should get. So when I saw more there than I'd gotten before, for me it was such a genuine... Not exactly a surprise, but such a pleasant joy,” the gymnast said.
The gymnast thanked the fans for their support and for meeting her at the airport:
"I was really touched. Girls, thank you! Thank you! Thank you to everyone who came. Thank you, girls, for your support, for greeting me with posters and the orchestra. I'm shocked, I'm so pleased. Thank you so much to everyone who organized this,” Mariia said.
