Elizaveta Geraskina and her coach, Elizaveta Chernova, summarize the results of the All-Russian Hopes of Russia tournament

Silver medalist at the Hopes of Russia tournament, Elizaveta Geraskina from Moscow, spoke about working with coach Elizaveta Chernova and thanked everyone who took part in her preparation:

"I really enjoy working with Elizaveta Markovna. I feel very comfortable with her, and we do our best. Elizaveta Markovna always helps me. I try to fulfill all of her instructions. Alina Maratovna gave me a lot of advice. She said you need to stay focused from start to finish. Wherever the apparatus goes, always follow it, keep your eyes on it until the very end. And, of course, fight to the end. I’m very grateful to Elizaveta Markovna for helping me prepare. I’m very grateful to Alina Maratovna for giving me the opportunity to perform here, for her valuable advice and help. Thank you so much."

The gymnast discussed her new routines, choreographed by Natalia Belugina:

"The hoop is a completely new image for me. I've never performed to slow music. This was our first time trying it. I loved it. Alina Maratovna also helped me feel as much myself in the role as possible, to really get into the groove. Well, the clubs were definitely easier. This music was easier for me. I really like it."

Coach Elizaveta Chernova thanked the choreographer and noted that the exercises suit the student quite well:

"And thanks to our choreographers, Natalya Belugina. Because she created both the hoop and the clubs very interestingly for Liza."

She also shared why she enjoys working with Liza:

"She listens, and she comes through, and she feels very comfortable on the carpet. And, of course, she works very hard. It shows, and I feel very comfortable working with her. After China, after the Sky Grace Cup International Tournament and Beijing Top Open 2025, we had very little time, literally two weeks, a week and a half. We restructured ourselves, redesigned our programs. We spent more time on DB elements and artistic expression. We worked a lot on artistic expression at these competitions. I'm happy that Liza is blossoming with each competition, because all four of her events are completely different. Thank you to the choreographers, the doctors, and everyone who helped us. And thanks to the audience for their support. We saw the posters and the support. Thank you very much."

The All-Russian tournament Hopes of Russia was held in Yekaterinburg on November 29 and 30.
