"This is a great joy and responsibility for me." Angelina Ipatova on her participation in the Alina Kabaeva Grand Prix Champions Cup

Angelina Ipatova from St. Petersburg will perform on behalf of the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association at the Alina Kabaeva Grand Prix Champions Cup. 

The gymnast told how she learned about her participation in the competition, which will be held in Moscow from March 2 to 7. 

"It was very unexpected for me when I was told this news. Tatyana Kolesnikova told me about it. And then I saw for myself that my name was on the Sky Grace team. I was very happy. I am very grateful to Sky Grace and Alina Kabaeva for this opportunity.  For me, this is a great joy and responsibility, since the competition is important," Angelina said.

The athlete also shared details of her preparation for the competition. 

"We are currently working on the programs that I will perform, working on artistry, on elements, on performing risks, skills, so that everything goes through beautiful transitions, into music and is performed with ease. Indeed, rhythmic gymnastics is, first and foremost, artistry. Not everyone can convey music, show images. It must be seamless and very beautiful. This, of course, is developed in training," she said.
