Diana Sobyanina sharing impressions after performing at the Ojaq Cup international tournament in Baku
Gymnast of the Sky Grace International Clubs Association team Diana Sobyanina from St. Petersburg shared her impressions after the performance at the Ojaq Cup international tournament in Baku.
She told us how she had coped with concerns.
"I'm trying to believe in myself, trying to tell myself that I'm great, I can do it."
The gymnast also shared the pieces of advice she had received before the competition from Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva.
"To smile more, show myself off and lower my shoulders."
Diana noted that senior girls from the International Association team had supported her, Mariia Borisova in particular.
"Masha said that I would be successful. We’re friendly. They are all good and kind."
The athlete also explained what had changed in her life after the relocation to the Academy.
"I became more independent, and I started getting better at everything. We started training more and the girls support me."
Diana Sobyanina became the champion of the Ojaq Cup international tournament in the all-around among pre-juniors born in 2016 and also won gold in the ball and silver in the freehand.
