"Girls show their character." Judge Liana Semenova talks about the participants of the Russian Junior Championship

Judge Liana Semyonova worked in the artistry panel at the Russian Junior Championship. She explained the specifics of assessing this criterion in group exercises:

"The main difference between group exercises and the individual program is that the artistry panel monitors the collective work in the group exercise."

The judge also shared her impressions of the performances of the teams and told which programs she liked the most:

"I certainly liked a lot the large number of teams. These are the Nizhny Novgorod Region team, the team of the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy, and the Omsk team. Of course, the difficulty of the exercise; it is significantly higher than that of other teams. Despite the losses, the girls are very quick to brace themselves, show their character, and are able to continue demonstrating their skills. I really liked the routine of the Nizhny Novgorod Region team, the balls. I also enjoyed so much the exercise with ribbons from the Sky Grace team. It is clear that the team is still young, but despite this, the program was very impressive, very beautiful, and the girls really got into that character. And I also really liked the team from the Sverdlovsk Region with the balls. The girls were very bright, very brave. I think they conveyed the whole character."
