"All the girls are happy!" Honored Coach of Russia Irina Savkina talks about the training of gymnasts from Belgorod at Sirius

Training sessions have officially kicked off at the Martial Arts Academy for the gymnasts from Belgorod, who arrived in Sirius at the invitation of Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva.

Honored Coach of Russia Irina Savkina shared her impressions of the training conditions:

"The situation back home in Belgorod is very difficult. Then Alina Maratovna called and suggested that we come to Sirius. Of course, we agreed right away. For instance, they called us yesterday, and today she says, 'We are leaving tomorrow.' And that’s how we ended up here. Alina Maratovna always invites us. Naturally, we don't have facilities like these in Belgorod. The girls have wonderful accommodations here. They stay in great rooms, the hotel is very nice, and the food is excellent. Залы — посмотрите, какой хороший зал с большими потолками! The gyms — look how good the gym is with high ceilings! That is, we can train for as long as we want. Everything is just cool. A total of 66 people from Belgorod came here. From the Olympic Reserve School and the Children and Youth Sports School of the Belgorod District. The kids are completely different because we tried to bring all the children here."

The specialist spoke about the upcoming competitions the athletes are currently preparing for:

"Right now, we are preparing for the competitive season. We have very important competitions coming up in October, our local Belgorod tournament. There will be selection trials for the regional team, so we are getting ready for this competition. I want to say a huge thank you, especially to Alina Maratovna, because if it weren't for her, we couldn't even dream of such training conditions. All the girls are happy! On top of everything, they are also studying and going to school here. Well, everything is wonderful."

The workouts are organized by the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy, the Martial Arts Academy, and the Administration of the Sirius Federal Territory. All travel expenses were covered by the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy.
