The gymnast from Belarus, Darya Verenich, told about the history of creating one of her most striking programs — exercises with clubs:
"My coach and I were listening to music in the gym after training, we came across this music, and we immediately took it for me. We sent the music to be cut and a week later we put it together with Tatyana Nenasheva. She is an amazing choreographer! I put it together with her for the first time. I was a little scared, but I really liked it. She has crazy ideas, what she comes up with is wow! And that's why I got these clubs. I portray a forest nymph there, a bit of a witch. I think this image suits me very well. Very interesting music, and exercise is like it as well."
This routine was particularly memorable for the audience. Ksenia Savinova also noted it.
Daria Verenich performed in the senior routine at the competition in Moscow. In addition to silver in the all-around, the gymnast won bronze in the ribbon routine. The athlete's coach is Yulia Bichun-Komarova.
