Russian champion Arina Kovshova spoke about the path to victory in the all-around at the tournament in Moscow and thanked the team of specialists who helped her achieve such a result:
"It was a bit difficult to get ready for one type per day, of course, but I managed just fine. We are improving our programs and working. Coach Elizaveta Markovna — what is she like? She is very kind and understanding, and I really enjoy training with her. What advice have I received? Do everything boldly, confidently, without fear or fuss. Alina Maratovna said that there are no small things, and that you have to be attentive in everything. Many thanks to Elizaveta Markovna, Alina Maratovna, Evgenia Olegovna, and all the choreographers. Thank you very much for preparations!"
The gymnast shared how she works out difficult risks:
"Many thanks to Elizaveta Markovna, Alina Maratovna, Evgenia Olegovna, and all the choreographers. Evgenia Olegovna motivated me to do these things, and I am grateful to her for that. I always try to understand and do what she says."
In January of this year, Arina moved to the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy. She is currently training under the guidance of Elizaveta Chernova, and her choreographer is Elena Egorova. Olympic champions Alina Kabaeva and Evgenia Kanaeva also work with the athlete. Previously, Arina practiced with Tatiana Amelchenko.
