"Fight to the end and do everything possible!" Irina Gusarova on the results of the AEON Cup

Irina Gusarova, Mariia Borisova's coach, summarized the results of the AEON Cup Club Championship.
"I'm really glad it worked out, we were able to perform, we were able to showcase ourselves. Of course, there are some shortcomings, some things to work on, but we enjoyed performing! We’ll take a look at the program a little, go over it again. We'll also be fine-tuning the elements a little, refining them, and polishing them. But overall... overall, we did well," Irina said.
The coach also spoke about her preparation for the competition.
"We tried to work on consistency, did a lot of run-throughs, took a lot of risks. We tried to do a lot of quality work," the coach said.
Irina shared what she told Masha before going out on the carpet.
"To fight. To fight to the end and do everything possible," she said.
For Mariia Borisova, the competition in Japan was her first under the auspices of the FIG. She placed fourth in the all-around and won a silver medal in the team competition.
All Russian gymnasts who competed in Tokyo are partners of the Sky Grace International Association and competed under neutral status.
